Deep South Hook Keeper

Deep South Fishing pays attention to detail and it's fishermen. When they were presented with the need for a versatile hook keeper that could be used for more than hooks, they listened. With this keeper it's still easy to secure a hook, but it is also just as easy to put that dropshot weight under it too.

Here's what Deep South Team Pro Jack Boxley has to say about this keeper:
"the thing I like about this part of my rods is you can also just tie a loop in the end of your line, secure it under this keeper, and reel up the slack. It's great when I'm working on my rods or respooling them and I haven't decided yet what to tie on. It also used to be when I broke off during a tournament, and needed to get another rod in the water quickly, I would have to just wrap the line end around the reel handle and hope it stayed there. Or even worse I would crank it down into the reel which causing a headache later. Now I take 10 seconds to tie a loop and I know that line will be secure and not get in my way." Jack
