It’s funny that people STILL, to this day, call the pike a “fragile creature”. I don’t know how many times i’ve caught wild pike with gill rakes broken off on one side or with scars going cross the gut and back. The pike isn’t a fragile little newborn baby, but i can understand the point in taking care of the fish with mats and good landing nets.
