    @lurkthisfool the floats in this vid are mostly Drennan Crystal body wagglers; with a small “puddle chucker” in the last part where i catch the chub on the river.

    for the fly fishing one do you need fly line

  5. kirisilvermane says:

    @ViolistXK the …
    @ViolistXK the centrepin will work just like any other centrepin; but it wont handle fly line because its just too thick to allow a sufficent amount of line on the reel! if you use mono or braid then it is perfect for rivver trotting etc

    @kirisilvermane

    @remcokruidhof1 : if ive transltated correctly…yes the rod can handle pike and carp easily. ive personally caught a 6lb pike and a 17.5lb carp!

    I love watching your vids and I am going to buy a pen rod extreme :D

    Two questions :D

    1. I really don’t know which rod to get, the normal extreme or the goliath… which do you suggest?

    2. Which reel should I get too?

  12. kirisilvermane says:

    @alexanderx29 they …
    @alexanderx29 they can cacth any fish as long as you adjust your technique and your tackle to suit the ultra light rod. i would say that mullet and suchlike and maybe float fishing in a harbour etc would be good fun! ive used one with mackerel feahers and a small carp weight and it worked very well; just no mackerel to catch at the time! LOL

  13. alexanderx29 says:

    can these be used …
    can these be used for catching saltwater fish?

  14. kirisilvermane says:

    the fly reel is too …
    the fly reel is too small to take standard fly line.its not it doesnt function its simply too small to do that job…i use standard braid or a good thin mono line on it and use it as a “centrepin” reel instead of a “fly reel” i think the name “fly reel” has come from the fact that the US consumer might not know what a “centrepin” reel was

    because thats what …
    because thats what thousands upon thousands of fishermen call the reel! its what the industry calls the reel! and its where the drag control is situated at on the reel! AT THE REAR!!!

  19. hiluss says:

    why u call it rear …
    why u call it rear drag wouldn’t bottom drag make more sense ????

  20. kirisilvermane says:

    on the baitcaster …
    on the baitcaster extreme you need to set the spool drag to allow just enough “free flow” to let your terminal tackle take line freely:
    basically set your rig up, then hold it up with the reel set to free spool. adjust the nut on the side of the reel until the weight of your terminal tackle can just pull line freely off the reel.
    now when you cast you need to use your thumb to “feather” the line. basically letting your thumb “glide” over the turning spool to allow the line to leave it smoothly

  21. robotuti says:

    how do u cast the …
    how do u cast the bait caster with such light line cos when i do it all tangles up i then i got a fish and lost it cos it was all looped up.

  22. kirisilvermane says:

    which reel? if you …
    which reel? if you let me know which reel your struggling with i can help you get it set up correctly

  23. xiongc11 says:

    actually the reel …
    actually the reel for me sucked…i really like the reel though…but when i dont have the reel on reverse it still goes into reverse and when i catch a fish it unspools and that really annoys me i have only had it for two weeks…its really dissapointing when i spend lots of money and not be satisfied.

  24. kirisilvermane says:

    simple answer! YES …
    simple answer! YES they do! LOL there is no trickery or fake footage here! i guarantee it! went out friday afternoon after work and caught myselftwo lovely carp at the local lake, largest was just over 5lb! and the rod and reel handled it with ease!

  25. ghostwheeler says:

    do the rods and …
    do the rods and reels really work as god as it seems?
