I am interested to buy a fishing rod under 100 Singapore dollars. I amparticularlyy looking for a rod about 7 to 8 feet in length. Please do let me know what kind of rods can i get here in singapore with this budget. I appreciate your responses. It would be great if you can tell me the exact model and price so that i can do some research on them.

How many fishing rods per person in NC saltwater?

I am heading to Carolina Beach State Park, and plan on fishing the Cape Fear and Snow cut. I would like to fish a couple rods per sperson but can’t find the regulation that gives an exact number. Also am looking for any other public access fishing areas near by.

I am not aware of any regulation regarding the number of rods an individual can use. I bring several with me for back-up and different sizes if other target species are biting.

What is the difference between fishing for bass and fishing for pike?

I have fished bass for many years now and want to start fishing for pike as well. I have caught a pike or two while fishing for bass, and just wondering if I have to do anything differently to specifically fish for pike. Do they prefer deeper water? Bigger lures? Shiny lures?Do they bite in the morning, night? Or do I just keep fishing for bass, but use a steel leader.

Hello you cant catch pike in many ways they are a preditor fish which is why you caught them bass fishing. You can use spinners, most work well big and small i use ones called spoons, large silver and shinney and pull them through the water fast. You can use dead baits on the bottom, herring are a good bait. You can attach a dead bait to the hook and reel it back fast and slow this will often temp a pike to take the bait.

Both are quality rods and i don’t know weather to decide on a crucial or a avid. Please give me feedback on which rod you would select and why. Oh yea it will be paired with a Abu Garcia Revo SX

I have taken up sea fishing. I have two cheap telescopic rods and i want to buy a couple of two or three piece rods.
What do i look for? What is the best make? I have already got two sea fixed spool reels.
Most of my fishing will be off the beach or a pier.
I will be fishing the South East coast (UK) from Walton on the Naze around to Brighton.
I would also appreciate any tips as I am still a learner

Graphite rods are good,but beach rods are long,so you can cast way out,and pier rods are shorter and thicker to hoist fish straight up,so they are two very different types for different needs.A ten foot surf rod,two piece one is good for the beach,and a seven foot one piece boat rod would be good for pier fishing.Check out what PENN has to offer,they are good quality,and have one for every kind of fishing you will do.

Me and my uncle have decided to go fishing along the shore to catch some fish from the sea. I am doing a bit of research on-line, as I have never fished at all before. What equipment would I need? I am not looking for anything too fancy, yet would want something that would work for me to use as a hobby. As I said I have never been fishing before so if possible, please use ‘simple’ fishing terms as I am new to all this. Any help would be much appreciated – thanks!

I have a check list which I look at every single time I’m about to leave because you’d be surprised how often you’ll forget something. For a normal trip out you will need:
Your rod and reel
Your tackle
Your bait
A sharp knife
A chopping board
A bucket to keep your catches in (optional)
A cloth to wipe your hands and hold the fish
Hat and Gloves (optional)
Spare spool of line for making rigs etc.
First aid kit.
